Waretown PTO

 Hello! If you’ve been to a PTO meeting, you’ve probably seen me jotting away—I’m the one making sure our minutes are accurate and our agendas are ready so we can stay on track!  Before I traded in my lab coat for life’s greatest adventure—raising a family—I worked as a research scientist. Now, I’m a happily married, devoted stay-at-home mom to four amazing kids: Amelia (10, entering fifth grade), Adeline (7, entering second grade), Scotty (5), and Ariana (2).  When I’m not organizing PTO notes, you can usually find me out and about with my crew—hiking, fishing, boating to the beach, gardening, biking, or cheering from the sidelines at my kids’ sporting events. I also love curling up with a good book, experimenting in the kitchen with cooking and baking, and making every day with my family an adventure.  I’m so excited to serve as PTO Secretary this year and to bring my energy, organization, and heart to our school community! 

 My name is Cynthia Villegas, and I am proud to serve as the Programs and Events Coordinator for the PTO. In this role, I assist in planning and organizing special events such as the Halloween Dance, Candy Bingo, and the Daddy/Daughter Dance. It’s a true privilege to help create lasting memories for our Waretown families through these meaningful experiences.  A bit about me: I’m a proud mom of three wonderful sons—Aiden (9th grade at SRHS), Christian (8th grade at SRMS), and Matteo (3rd grade). I’m a former early childhood educator and currently work as a Child Developmental Specialist for Early Intervention, as well as a private tutor.  Outside of work and volunteering, I enjoy spending quality time with my boys—traveling, hiking, playing games, and cheering them on in their passions, whether on the field or on stage. I hope to meet many of you at our PTO events throughout the year! 

 Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be serving as this year’s Membership & Communications Chair for the Waretown PTO!  If there’s an event happening, a reminder you don’t want to miss, or exciting PTO news to share, chances are it’ll be coming from me! My goal is to help keep our school community connected, informed, and engaged. I believe a strong school community starts with great communication, and I’m looking forward to helping make this an amazing year for our families, students, and staff!  A little about me, I grew up on Staten Island but have proudly called Waretown home since 2018. I’m a busy mom of a 6th grader, 4th grader, and 2nd grader so you'll usually find me bouncing between school events, football practices, and whatever adventure comes next. Between my husband’s high school football coaching and my son’s football games our fall calendar is full and fun! As a proud special needs mom, I’m also very involved in the autism community and love participating in events that celebrate inclusion, acceptance, and support for all individuals with disabilities.  I’m looking forward to getting to know even more of our amazing PTO families this year!  Hi! I'm Samantha, a proud mom to my amazing son, Landon, who is starting kindergarten this year. Being his mom is my greatest joy, and I love being involved in the people and places that help him learn, grow, and feel supported. I work full-time as a concierge at Greenbriar Oceanaire, where I've learned how much a simple smile, kind word, or thoughtful gesture can brighten someone's day. Those little acts of kindness are something I truly believe in, which is why I'm excited to be part of the PTO Sunshine Committee. Our family has experienced both incredible blessings and difficult challenges, and through it all, we've been lifted up by the kindness and support of our community. That has inspired me to give back whenever I can. Whether it's organizing something special, lending a helping hand, or simply making someone feel seen and appreciated, I love finding ways to spread a little happiness. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful school community, and I look forward to helping make it a welcoming, encouraging, and fun place for all of our students, families, teachers, and staff.
